Toxic Substances and Hazardous and Nuclear Wastes Control Act (R.A. 6969) was promulgated and implemented in 1990. Chapter 2 of Part 8 of the Act (referred to as DAO 1992-29) regulates that Philippine manufacturers and importers should Submit a PMPIN for new chemical substances to the Philippine Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) 90-180 days before the production and import of new chemical substances. The webinar will mainly focus on the scope of regulation, new chemical substance registration types and their requirements, and the use of the OPMS system and the PICCS tool.
